Organization at a glance

Barishal Disabled Peoples’ Organization to Development (Barishal DPOD) is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in Barishal District of Bangladesh. The organization is a non-profitable, non political, and non-governmental self-help development organization of persons with disabilities.
It was established in 2000 by the initiative of a group of local young individuals with disabilities who got encouragement and inspiration from different sources and they achieved leadership.
Barishal DPOD is working to promote barrier-free integration of persons with disabilities into the mainstream of socio-economic and cultural life with rights and participation in the society.
